Following up with you all after our last FNE Education Commission meeting. This past week we dedicated our meeting to athletics and worked through compiling a list of community priorities. These priorities revolved around providing our athletes more resources, installing lights at both campuses ensuring equity when sharing space, and much more.
We’re currently compiling all this information and will be bringing is back out to the community in January to make additional revisions and prioritize our next steps.
Our next FNE Education Commission meeting will be on November 28th from 6-8pm at the Evie Dennis Campus in Building #1 (West Commons). We’ll be focusing on academic expectations for our students and also developing community priorities to present to the board.
Throughout this entire process we’ve had minimal participation from parents. We feel it’s essential that they are part of these conversations that will shape their child’s education in the FNE. Can you all help us get parents there by sharing our flyer? I can also provide physical copies too for folders. Also, if it would be more convenient for you–could we
use your IC list to do a robo-call/email about this event?
All the best,
Kiera M. Jackson
