Dear DMLK Senior Parents and Students,
We are in the home stretch of our seniors’ final days as a high school student! Here are a few dates and additional details we want you to keep in mind:
This is actually a bigger, better and more FUN version of what has formally been referred to as the senior check out! ALL SENIORS MUST ATTEND THIS EVENT (parents you may join your students if you like)!!! This is your ONLY opportunity to pick up your graduation stuff. To honor CDC social distancing regulations, all attendees must arrive and remain in a vehicle during the drive thru. Seniors will drive through the north parking lot and navigate the “parade route” as a final “send off” from teachers and staff. They will pick up their caps and gowns in addition to a few gifts from the DMLK family. At the conclusion of the drive thru route, there is an opportunity for cap and gown pictures in the south parking lot entrance at the drop off area. Social distancing rules still apply. We will all have protective gear and send our love from a safe distance. Cars must report to the north entrance of the school from 12 to 2 p.m.
Our seniors have worked hard and accomplished many things up to this point! Today, we get to know the senior class better by meeting each individual declare their post secondary plans. A link will be sent to students and parents/guardians by email, text, and social media for families to view and celebrate seniors’ commitments to their post-secondary plans. The link will be available to view live at 7 p.m.
The day has finally arrived for our seniors to celebrate this important milestone in their life! We will be there to join the
festivities as well! A link will be sent to families through email, text, and our social media avenues. Families will be able to enjoy
and honor their seniors as they have completed their high school career. The will link will go live for viewing at 7 p.m. Subtitles will
be shown in Spanish as well. If you have any questions regarding the ceremony set up or structure, please contact Jose Martinez Castellanos at firstname.lastname@example.org or 720-467-7812. As the format of our celebration has changed this year to a virtual format, there is a possibility for news coverage of our event to take place. If you wish to opt your student out of the celebratory coverage, please contact email@example.com. Please note the additional graduation options in December and in 2021 still remain and will be offered, pending CDC regulations. We will continue to communicate any updates that take place with these additional plans as we learn them.
We thank you for your support throughout the years and joining us in celebrating our seniors. They will always be in our hearts and a part of the DMLK family; we will miss them greatly! We look forward to joining you in the upcoming events this month!
