In addition to one-on-one tutoring with teachers during their hours of availability, DMLK has an after-school tutoring partnership with Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU). Metro tutors are available to assist all students with most subject areas Mondays through Thursdays after school from 3:35pm- 4:35pm are provided a snack and then have enrichment activities, including career exploration, arts and crafts, physical activity in the gym and activities from MSU professors and service providers. Students do not need to register to participate initially, but will need to register if they continue to use services. Students are encouraged, but not required, to participate for two days a week, do not have to attend the whole time, are generally asked to spend one hour when they attend and can attend after participating in other after school activities (e.g. sports, clubs, tutoring directly with teacher.
